What is Liquid Metal?
Traditional thermal paste has a thermal conductivity of around 5-10 W/mK. Liquid metal (like Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut) is an alloy of gallium, indium, and tin, offering a massive 73 W/mK thermal conductivity. It transfers heat from the CPU/GPU die to the heatsink much faster.

The Risks (Why You Shouldn't DIY)
Liquid metal is electrically conductive. If even a microscopic drop spills onto the motherboard's SMD capacitors, it will instantly short-circuit and kill the laptop. Furthermore, gallium reacts aggressively with aluminum, destroying the heatsink. It can ONLY be used on pure copper heatsinks.
